Trial by Fire is meant to be a display of the destructive forces of nature which is both great and terrible. When nature becomes diseased it must be cleansed and fire is nature's way of cleansing impurities. Sadly the destruction isn't limited to the pine beetles but endangers all habitats, both human and natural.
